Below: Battling a full moon and the city lights, I was able to capture a few stars over Birmingham on this trip. If you look closely at the first image, you can make out the Big Dipper. I’ve outlined it in the second photo below.
Below: Comprised of almost 300 images taken over the course of about an hour (13″ exp, ISO 200) between Midnight and 1 a.m. on August 2, 2015, you can see the path of those stars in this image. It was my first attempt at star trails from this location, but it won’t be the last.
